Scope and changes

The scope, pages and price are agreed in writing before I start, based on your brief. That scope is what gets built. Anything beyond it (extra pages, a different platform, work outside what was quoted) is treated as a change and quoted separately before I do it.

Payment

Projects are invoiced half up front and half on launch, in USD. Work begins once the first invoice is paid. Deposits aren't refundable once work has started, since that's when I turn down other work to make room for yours. An unpaid invoice pauses the project until it's settled.

Revisions

Two rounds of changes are included in every paid project, one round on starter slot projects (see below). A round means one consolidated list of changes, not an open-ended back-and-forth. Anything beyond the included rounds is quoted at an hourly rate, agreed before I start on it.

Ownership

Once a project is paid in full, you own the finished site and everything in it: the copy, the images you supplied, the design. I keep the right to show the work in my own portfolio and case studies, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Client responsibilities

You're responsible for supplying your own copy, images and feedback, and for replying to questions in good time. Projects run on the timeline I quote only if that stays true on both sides. Delays on your end push the delivery date back by the same amount.

Cancellation

Either of us can end a project at any point. If you cancel, you pay for the work completed up to that point; anything already invoiced and paid isn't refunded. If I cancel, I'll return any payment for work not yet done.

Third-party services

Hosting, domain registration and any platform subscriptions (Webflow, Squarespace, and the like) are set up in your name and paid for by you, not me. You own those accounts from day one. That's what "you get the keys" means in practice.

Starter slot terms

These additional terms apply only to projects taken on through the starter slot programme.

1. One project is accepted per calendar month. Unselected applications don't carry over and unused slots don't accumulate.
2. The minimum budget is US$400. Applications below this can't be accepted.
3. Payment is due in full before work begins.
4. I define the scope of the project. Scope is set once at the start and isn't negotiable afterwards.
5. Projects are limited to a maximum of five pages.
6. You supply all written content and images. Copywriting, photography and logo design aren't included.
7. One round of changes is included, rather than the two included in paid projects.
8. Care plans and SEO retainers aren't included and are charged separately at the published rates.
9. Starter slot projects are scheduled around paid work. I'll give you a realistic date, but it will be longer than a standard project.
10. I may feature the finished site in my portfolio, on social media and in case studies. This is the only thing I ask in return.
11. Applications may be declined without reason. Selection is at my sole discretion.
12. This offer can't be combined with any other discount or offer.
13. Eligibility is limited to businesses based and operating in Zimbabwe. I may ask for proof: business registration, a Zimbabwean physical address or a local contact number.
14. Eligibility is further limited to businesses trading for less than twelve months, or not yet launched. One starter slot per business, ever.
